When dreaming up a cocktail for our Newlywed Christmas shoot for Cottage Hill Magazine, we wanted something festive and delicious, but also realistically simple. You want Christmas morning to be about family and spending time together, not playing bartender!

The Perfect Christmas Morning Cocktail: Apple Cinnamon Bellini (serves 8)
- 1 bottle Prosecco or champagne
- 1 bottle apple cider (we used Knudsen's Sparkling Caramel Apple Cider found at Kroger)
- Cinnamon sticks for garnish
Fill each glass of champagne half way with the apple cider. Add prosecco or champagne, then garnish with a cinnamon stick and enjoy!
For a frozen option, freeze apple cider in ice cube trays overnight. Blend with champagne and serve immediately.

Thanksgiving Cocktail: Autumn Spice Sangria
Happy Thanksgiving Eve, y'all! It's time for last minute trips to the grocery store and final preparations for family and friends. This Autumn Spice Sangria recipe is one of my favorites and perfect for a last minute Thanksgiving cocktail. Simple, delicious and full of Fall flavor, see the full recipe below!
AUTUMN SPICE SANGRIA:
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle Cabernet Sauvignon (or any fruity red wine)
- 2 cups apple cider
- 1/2 cup cognac
- 3 honey crisp apples, sliced
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 1/2 tbsp whole cloves
- Prosecco or sparkling wine to garnish
Directions:
1. In a tall pitcher, add all ingredients but the Prosecco. Mix and refrigerate overnight.
2. Pour sangria in glasses filled with ice. Top with Prosecco and sliced apples.
Enjoy!
